Capitol Congress

Wednesday, September 18th (9/18)

The first tournament of our season begins with Capitol Congress in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Students compete exclusively in Congressional Debate at this tournament.

This is an IDEAL first tournament for anyone new to the team!

Registration is due Tuesday, 9/10 at 4:00pm.

If this is your first tournament, please do the following BEFORE registering:

• Create an account with the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA): www.speechanddebate.org/join

Schedule Considerations

• Students will need to miss Wednesday classes (E, F, G, and H blocks).

• Students will leave around 7:00AM from campus and return around 4:00pm. Exact itinerary details will be supplied to registered members the week before the tournament.

• The Ashland Shakespeare Festival trip runs on this same day
