NSDA Springboard Scrimmages
Fall Semester 2024
As an additional competitive opportunity and chance to practice, the NSDA is again offering a series of practice scrimmages via the NSDA Springboard Series. These scrimmages are hosted online on NSDA Campus. Students are responsible for securing their own resources and materials for competing in these scrimmages, including a place to compete from.
Students compete in their main Speech, Debate, or Congress events (including World Schools Debate) in a single practice round.
This is a great tournament for students to practice online competition, different judging pools, and observe additional competitors!
Note: Students must attempt to secure judging in order to compete in these scrimmages. This is a great place for parents to learn how to judge and receive judge training, or for juniors/seniors with at least 250 honor points to gain experience with judging if they are willing to complete the online training to support our students!
Specific event information, schedule, and other pertinent tournament information are available on NSDA’a website and the specific Tabroom.com links for each scrimmage:

Registration is due 72 hours before any given scrimmage, i.e. competing in a Thursday scrimmage requires registering no later than 5:00 pm that Monday.
If this is your first tournament, please do the following BEFORE registering:
Create an account with the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA): www.speechanddebate.org/join
Create a Tabroom.com account and follow the instructions on the following form: Tabroom Account Creation Form
Schedule Considerations
Scrimmages are held at 5:00 pm MT (6:00 pm CT), so no school is missed.
If you intend to register for a scrimmage held during one of our regular Tuesday/Thursday practices, you are expected to still participate in practice between 3:30–5:00pm prior to the scrimmage start time and should inform your event captains/coaches.
