What is Speech & Debate?
Beyond Competition
Speech & Debate is an academic team, but, we are also so much more than that. We connect students to a community of incredible life-long learners with a similar vision in a network stretching nation-wide.
Outside of regular practice and weekend tournaments, the team also engages in monthly social events, a back-to-school celebration, a winter gathering, and a spring banquet. We support each other in and out of competition and show up for one another in our other pursuits. We believe that Speech & Debate is but one part of a person’s interests and passions, and we seek to use our time in the activity to magnify those skills and interests.
